What’s Included in a Residential Paint Job?
At Star Painting, a professional paint job is more than just applying color to bedroom walls and kitchen cabinets. Throughout every job, our work leaves a lot of mess from paint stains to sanding debris. We don’t want you to have to clean up after us, so we do the cleaning ourselves. Step 1: Choose your colour
Choose from our playful range of Chalkboard Effect colours or go for traditional Chalkboard Black.
Step 2: Prep
Clean, fill and sand where required.
- Measure up the section of wall you want to paint, then mask it off.
Step 3: Topcoat
Cut in edges with a high quality synthetic wall brush, then roll your first coat with a 5-10mm nap roller.
Allow to dry for 2 hours, than apply your second coat as you did your first.
Allow this to cure for at least 7 days before using.
Step 4: Conditioning
Before using your chalkboard for the first time, you need to condition it. Simply rub the entire surface of the chalkboard vertically with the side of a piece of chalk, ensuring the chalkboard is completely covered.
Then do the same again, but this time horizontally.
Wipe with a soft cloth or chalkboard duster and blow off any excess chalk dust.
The chalkboard is now ready to use.
